The first national comprehensive risk survey of natural disasters in Hebei Province has yielded a significant volume of data information resources, achieving comprehensive coverage of basic earthquake disaster-related data and other pertinent information. To ensure the stability and improvement of census results, explore standardized data management practices, and facilitate research on comprehensive natural disaster risk surveys, this paper proposes a metadata standard for earthquake disaster information resources and its expansion mechanism. Embracing the guiding principle of comprehensive disaster prevention and mitigation, the establishment of this metadata standard aims to enhance data collection and unified management during the census, ultimately promoting the reuse of census data results. By leveraging standardized metadata, the paper seeks to enhance the effectiveness of census data for earthquake disaster prevention and control efforts, and to facilitate the scientific application of modern technologies such as big data in comprehensive disaster prevention and mitigation endeavors.
