Abstract:The change of static gravity field can provide important basic data for understanding deep crustal structure. In this paper,wavelet multi-scale decomposition method is used to process and analyze the data of Bouguer gravity anomaly and equilibrium gravity anomaly in Hebei and adjacent areas(110°~120°E,36°~42°N),and the decomposition results at different scales are obtained. The results show that the crust of Zhangbo belt and Shanxi belt is abnormal to a certain extent,and the destructive earthquakes mainly occur in the interception area of positive and negative gravity anomalies and the intersection of seismic zones. Bouguer gravity anomaly in the fourth order wavelet details(near Moho) decomposition results shows that there exists high value anomaly of the positive and negative differences at middle Zhangbo segment,to a certain extent in a certain range,supporting the existence of mantle material upwelling channels. The results from the experiments in this work will help to understand the geological background of earthquake generation.
