Based on the statistics of earthquakes with magnitude 5.0 and above which have occurred around the world since 2020,this paper collected information related to earthquake disasters on a quarterly basis and through multiple sources,especially for the earthquakes with great casualties and economic property losses. Then,the above information were summarized and statistically analyzed to explain the earthquake disasters and their impacts of typical earthquakes. By summarizing the main characteristics of earthquake disaster activities from global earthquakes in the second quarter of 2023,we emphasized the importance of daily anti-seismic fortifications and cultivating people's awareness of emergency disaster avoidance.
